Who knew that there is such an easy way to save energy? Merely plugging your major electronic components into a power strip that can be completely shut down guarantees that TV’s, DVD players and other gadgets don't suck up power as they sit idle for 20 or more hours a day.

You are referring to what we in the electric utlity business call "Phantom Load" and is a real issue for meeting increasing electricity demand in the future.
BTW - Just wanted to let you know I heard you speak last night (In Jax) & enjoyed it, especially your point on having reslove.
